Helping people make the most of work and life

People don’t leave the rest of their lives at the door.

A health worry affects attendance. Money pressure affects focus. When communication is poor, people miss out on help that already exists. When recognition is missing, people feel overlooked.

Managers are often left to pick up the pieces, without a clear route to the right kind of help.

My Group helps people get the right support across work and life.

It gives employers a clearer, more joined-up way to provide it. We start with what your people and your business need, then build the right support around that, rather than handing over a fixed package that every employer gets.

Why does joined-up employee support make a difference?

We help people access practical support for their health, wellbeing, money, work and connection.

That can look different from one organisation to another. Some employers need practical benefits people can use every day. Others need better routes into mental health or physical health support. Many need to improve recognition, employee voice, workplace support, communication or benefits engagement.

These needs often connect. People can’t separate the different pressures on their lives into neat categories. A joined-up approach helps employers see the full picture without forcing every organisation into the same solution.

The support is organised around six practical areas, helping people:

  • Physical – access health and wellbeing support earlier.
  • Mental – find clearer routes into mental health and emotional wellbeing support.
  • Financial – manage everyday money pressure and see what help is available through work.
  • Workplace – overcome practical barriers that make work harder than it needs to be.
  • Connection – feel recognised, included, heard and valued.
  • Delivery – understand and access support in the right way, whether that is digital, video, manager-led or in person.

How do our six areas of employee support work together?

Each area works on its own. Most employers find they work harder together, built around what their people need.

Physical health and wellbeing support

Health worries don’t stay at home. They show up at work, in lower energy, lost confidence and trouble concentrating on the day job.

Physical health support helps people find clearer routes to healthcare, occupational health, wellbeing support and practical next steps.

This could include Virtual GP access, occupational health, health protection, medical insurance routes, wellbeing resources or support with absence, return to work and workplace needs.

Mental health support and counselling

Mental health pressures don’t stay outside work. Stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, caring responsibilities and difficult life events all affect how people feel and how they work.

Mental health and wellbeing support helps people access clearer routes into confidential support, counselling, trauma support, bereavement support, cancer counselling, EAP services or manager guidance.

Financial wellbeing support

Money worries keep people awake. They affect focus, confidence and health at work. Financial wellbeing support helps people understand and use the practical help already available to them through work.

This could include everyday savings, cashback, flexible benefits, salary sacrifice, on-demand pay, financial education, pension communication, Total Reward Statements or routes into regulated financial advice where appropriate.

Workplace support

People who want to do their best work are often held back by things outside their control. A process that doesn’t work. A system that’s hard to navigate. Support that’s hard to find at the moment it’s needed.

Workplace support helps people, managers and HR teams understand what is getting in the way and create clearer routes to support. This could include employee listening, occupational health, workplace needs assessments, neurodiversity support, reasonable adjustment support or manager training.

Employee recognition and connection support

People notice when their work is valued and they notice when it isn’t.

Recognition and connection help people feel noticed, valued, included and part of what the organisation is trying to do. This could include peer-to-peer appreciation, long service awards, trivial benefits, employee listening, engagement surveys, Total Reward Statements and employee communication.

Delivery support and benefits communication

Not everyone takes in information the same way. A benefit is easy to miss if people do not understand what it is, how it helps or how to use it.

Delivery support helps people understand what is available and where to start, through digital communication, video sessions, in-person support, consultant-led explanation, manager briefings and guided routes into the right help. Human-led delivery is an option where it makes sense, not the default for every organisation.

How is support built around what people need?

Support is only useful when it is organised around what people and employers actually need. That’s why we start by understanding the people challenge, the business context and the support already in place, rather than asking what package you want.

Understand the need

People need to be heard before support is designed around them. We start by listening: to what employees are experiencing, what the organisation is trying to improve, and where existing support isn’t reaching people.

Design the right support

Once we understand what’s needed, we help build support that fits, drawing on the right mix of platform, services, people and partners.

Deliver in the right way

People prefer to access support in different ways, so we make sure it reaches them through the employee portal, clear communication, video, manager briefings, guided routes, specialist services or human-led support where it adds value.

Review what is working

Putting support in place isn’t the end goal. The goal is for people to understand it, use it and feel the benefit, while employers get a clearer view of what it is worth over time.

How does benefits and wellbeing support reach employees?

Support only works when people know it exists and feel confident using it.

For some employees, the employee portal and clear digital communication will be enough. Others may need a reminder, a video explanation, a manager conversation, an on-site session or a guided route into the right support.

The route should follow the need. Some topics are simple enough for digital communication, while others need a human explanation, a guided route or a more structured session.

Frequently asked questions

My Group includes an employee benefits platform, but the platform is not the whole proposition.

For many employers, the platform is the main way employees access support. For others, value may also come through health and wellbeing services, financial education, recognition, workplace support, communication, video sessions or human-led delivery. The right approach depends on what people and the organisation need.

My Group is employee-owned, and that shapes how we work. We do not have external shareholders or investment backers to satisfy, so we can take a longer-term view of the support we build and the relationships we develop.

That also means more of what we do can be reinvested back into our people, our services and the way we support clients.

We do not ask employers to start with a fixed package. We start with the challenge: what people are dealing with, where support is missing and what would make the biggest difference.

From there, we help shape the right support around those needs. That helps employers focus investment where it is most likely to make a difference, rather than spreading budget across benefits that look good on paper but may not be used in real life.

Yes. People’s needs often overlap. Financial pressure can affect mental health. Health concerns can affect work. Poor communication can reduce benefits usage. A lack of recognition can affect connection and morale.

The solution areas are designed to work together, so support can be joined up around what people actually need.

No. The solution areas are not a fixed package.

Some employers may start with one area, such as financial support, mental health support or employee recognition. Others may need a broader combination. The starting point is the need, not the number of services.

Some services may involve clinical, regulated financial or specialist support, but those services must be delivered through the correct route and within the right boundaries.

Our role is to help employers make support clearer, easier to access and better connected. Regulated financial advice, clinical advice and HR consultancy are only provided where separately agreed and delivered by appropriately authorised or qualified professionals.

My Group works with UK employers that genuinely want to support their people in a practical, joined-up way. It’s for organisations that want their benefits and wellbeing support to be understood and used, not just written into a policy.
